It's week three of this experiment, which means it's time for the third movie The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton as everyone's favorite green beast.
So far my parents have reviewed Captain America: The First Avenger and Iron Man, see how the big green giant compares in the review below. My parents review of The Incredible Hulk: So last week I had my parents review Captain America: The First Avenger, which you can find here, in what will be a weekly installment of my non-comic reading parents watching the full MCU, not counting the TV shows (I don't want to put them through the torture that is season one of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
This week they watched the film that started it all, Iron Man. Read the magic they had to say about the film, magic that only parents can provide. And now, my parents review of Iron Man! Middle Of The Road: A Review Of A Mixtape My DAd Made Years Ago (Featuring Music I Use To Listen To)10/8/2014 Remember burning CDs? Before the age of the iPod or the Pandora's and the Spotify's, we use to all burn mixtapes onto CDs and played them in CD players. My dad was no different, having on occasion burned his own playlists, often times using music that I was into at the time. I think that was his point, he really only liked a few songs here and there that I was into, much like him only liking a few things about me *holds back tears*.
Anyways, just last week I stumbled upon an old CD mixtape in my car entitled Middle of the Road. I quickly realized it was one of my dad's from when I was in junior high. I gave it a listen and I was punched in the face with nostalgia, reinvigorated intrigue, regret, and just plain disgust over the music I use to listen to. My palette today is much different, though it was interesting to see what music I still dig now, and what I can't stand, and I thought it would be fun to review this playlist so you can perhaps go through the same internal adventure of rediscovery as I did. By the way, I had no clue then, and I definitely have no clue now, why my dad named the CD Middle of the Road. The title sounds smarter than it deserves. Follow me back to around twelve years ago to the early/mid 2000s, where the world was a much different place. This Is Where I Leave You is the bomb of discussion on this week's episode. John and I also talk about Kevin Smith's new release Tusk. Enjoy this week's Box Office Bomb! Not really a bomb, not really a blunder, but it does take place down under...water that is! Well, at least the main stars of the film Dolphin Tale 2 spend most of their time underwater. Enjoy yourself as the DREAM TEAM: John, Zach, and special host Lukas return together again, in what has seemed like an eternity. We talk about racism, wife-beating (Ray Rice), and also a little bit about sea creatures. What else can you ask for? 'Tis Box Office Bombs! I give to you the latest Box Office Bomb, The Giver. How was the film? Do we recommend it? Find out! Also, John and I give a trending movie genre a name! Time to step up and go all in! Listen to John and I's discussion over the film Step Up All In including a call from "Channing Tatum." Also listen to our discussion on Robin Williams and his recent passing. Enjoy guys! Because the last installment came so late, once again you all get back-to-back Box Office Bombs installments. This week we talked the film adaptation of Jersey Boys, and we learned, even if the film sucks, the music can still be good. A quicker look to see just how well the critics have rated the movies featuring Paul Rudd. Enjoy!
