Middle Of The Road: A Review Of A Mixtape My DAd Made Years Ago (Featuring Music I Use To Listen To)10/8/2014 Remember burning CDs? Before the age of the iPod or the Pandora's and the Spotify's, we use to all burn mixtapes onto CDs and played them in CD players. My dad was no different, having on occasion burned his own playlists, often times using music that I was into at the time. I think that was his point, he really only liked a few songs here and there that I was into, much like him only liking a few things about me *holds back tears*.
Anyways, just last week I stumbled upon an old CD mixtape in my car entitled Middle of the Road. I quickly realized it was one of my dad's from when I was in junior high. I gave it a listen and I was punched in the face with nostalgia, reinvigorated intrigue, regret, and just plain disgust over the music I use to listen to. My palette today is much different, though it was interesting to see what music I still dig now, and what I can't stand, and I thought it would be fun to review this playlist so you can perhaps go through the same internal adventure of rediscovery as I did. By the way, I had no clue then, and I definitely have no clue now, why my dad named the CD Middle of the Road. The title sounds smarter than it deserves. Follow me back to around twelve years ago to the early/mid 2000s, where the world was a much different place.

Los Angeles is going through a heat wave right now and at times it can be agonizing! I'd like to help you by providing some heat beating tips. But I'm not going to give you the same old tips you already know: get in a pool, upgrade your air conditioning, etc. I'm going to provide you with tips straight out of left field, where I happen to reside most of the year.
Quick version: I get compared to Paul Rudd often. So often that I know what people are going to say to me, what they think of me, and how they perceive my actions before they even open their mouths. I started this blog because I want an outlet to express my thoughts and experiences while having a fun nickname, which I think Paul Rudd’s Little Brother lives up to. This blog is my own opinion and not Paul Rudd’s, though I give Paul Rudd the utmost respect, one of the best performers in our time. Now if you want the elaborate and possibly unnecessary origin story of my Paul Rudd likeness, then please read on.
